About
Hello,
I’m Isla.
I’ve spent twelve years photographing weddings in barns, back gardens, Scottish islands and French châteaux. What I love hasn’t changed: real people, real weather, real feeling.
I picked up my first camera at sixteen and never really put it down. After a degree in documentary photography and a few years assisting in London, I photographed a friend’s wedding as a favour — and realised this was the work I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Today I take on a limited number of weddings each year so that every couple gets my full attention, from our first call to the day your album arrives. I work mostly in the Cotswolds and the South West, and travel wherever love takes me.
When I’m not photographing weddings you’ll find me swimming in cold rivers, restoring an old Land Rover very slowly, or developing film in a cupboard that was never meant to be a darkroom.
